WBBZ-TV, Your Hometown MeTV Station celebrated one of the great hometown events of the summer, the 176th Erie County Fair!
Over 50,000 people visited our “Fred Jackson Hotshot Football Challenge” display across the Firemen’s Building, where families and friends were able to play the best game on the midway!
For a $1 dollar donation to PreventionFocus.org, contestants were able to make three throws of a football through a target on the game. Even if you did not get a football through the backboard, you still won a prize!
Thanks to YOU, over $7,200 was raised to help our hometown not-for-profit partner!
Your donation helped Prevention Focus, the long respected Western New York agency designed to help young people make healthy choices – and say “no” to drugs, alcohol, and bullying.
Fans also played a “Lightning Round” version of our game show “Bragging Rights” when host John Di Sciullo and Executive Producer Phil Arno were at the Tent.
Sponsor prizes for the “Hotshot Football Challenge” included certificates from Buffalo Roadhouse Grill; Chef’s Restaurant; Texas Roadhouse; and Dave & Buster’s!
