Bob Koshinski, VP & GM of WBBZ-TV is proud to announce that the Most Rev. Richard J. Malone, the newly appointed Bishop of Buffalo, will appear on a special Easter edition of WBBZ-TV’s “Political Buzz” airing Sunday March 31st at 10a.m.
Videographer Tim Batt and host John Di Sciullo met one-on-one with Bishop Malone recently at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in downtown Buffalo. The Bishop talked candidly about his reaction to the appointment of Cardinal Bergoglio as the new Pope, what taking the name of Pope Francis means, and the challenges the new Pope faces in leading Catholics around the globe.
Rev. Malone also talked about how he has embraced Western New York, and how the community has embraced him since becoming Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo last summer. The Bishop shares a unique story never told before, and offers an Easter blessing to WBBZ-TV viewers.
In addition to the interview with Bishop Malone, Father John Mack from Christ the King Seminary talks about the significance of Easter and the reaction from his congregation on the appointment of the new Pope. Carl Paladino, the President of Ellicott Development and Park District School Board candidate with Steve Pigeon, attorney from Underberg and Kessler and prominent Democratic strategist join the conversation to discuss how the connection between politics and the pulpit.
